#45 - Donald Trump Is Blowing Hard.

Trump Made Strong Statements that concern our Civil Liberties, the Climate Science "Hoax," Immigration, Armed Conflicts and Health Care.  As this presidency progresses let's take a look at just "What the Hell You Have to Lose." And at the same time, as we move through the Trump years we'll take a look at What The Hell We've Lost!

What The Hell Do You Have To Lose ?

Your Freedom. Every Republican President Since Nixon Has Had a War on Drugs, a War on Crime, A Zero Tolerance Policy That Has Sent Millions of Men and Women Of Color to Prisons

Trump in  February as President: "Afterwards, he delivered a speech that closely resembled his harsh campaign rhetoric on crime, promising to support police officers as they safeguard what he described as cities, like Chicago, under attack by gangs and neighborhoods “crippled by violence and fear.” Souce: Politico

The Trump team engages with a foreign power to influence the election.  "Donald Trump Jr. initially told the press that the meeting was held to discuss adoptions of Russian children by Americans. On July 8, 2017, Trump Jr. tweeted that he agreed to the meeting with the understanding that he would receive information damaging to Hillary Clinton. Goldstone had stated in his email that the Russian government was involved. Robert Mueller, the special counsel of the Department of Justice in charge of Russia-related investigations, is investigating the emails and the meeting. Source: Wikipedia

Public Lands - National Parks

America's national parks need a staggering $11.5bn worth of overdue road and infrastructure repairs. But with the proposed National Park Service budget slashed by almost $400m, the Trump administration says it will turn to privatizing public park services to address those deferred maintenance costs." Environmental Protection

Trump signs order at the EPA to dismantle environmental protections

"At the EPA, scientists are encountering renewed skepticism of their work, many employees have seen their offices slated for elimination altogether, and regulators are facing the prospect of dismantling environmental rules many of them spent years creating. Health Care

"The GOP health bill promises lower premiums for consumers. To get there, it would require patients in standard plans to spend as much as about $13,000 upfront on their own care.
The deductibles would be so high, in fact, that they’d violate maximums set in U.S. law, an analysis by the nonpartisan Congressional Budget Office said Thursday. Under Obamacare, by comparison, an individual in a standard plan would have a deductible of roughly $5,000." Source:Newsmax

The Truth

#45 tells an incredible number of lies.  The New York Times listed the lies told by the President in the first 6 month of office.  The first few days are listed below.  Use the link to see complete list. "Jan. 21 “I wasn't a fan of Iraq. I didn't want to go into Iraq.” (He was for an invasion before he was against it.) Jan. 21 “A reporter for Time magazine — and I have been on their cover 14 or 15 times. I think we have the all-time record in the history of Time magazine.” (Trump was on the cover 11 times and Nixon appeared 55 times.) Jan. 23 “Between 3 million and 5 million illegal votes caused me to lose the popular vote.” (There's no evidence of illegal voting.) Jan. 25 “Now, the audience was the biggest ever. But this crowd was massive. Look how far back it goes. This crowd was massive.” (Official aerial photos show Obama's 2009 inauguration was much more heavily attended.) Jan. 25 “Take a look at the Pew reports (which show voter fraud.)” (The report never mentioned voter fraud.)Source: New York Times

Money Laundering and Obstruction of Justice

TRUMP: "He is a nicer person than I am," Trump said of the Russian president. "In terms of leadership, he's getting an A." The reason, according to Trump, is that Putin is "making mincemeat out of our president."

Putin returned the compliment in December, when he said: "He's a really brilliant and talented person, without any doubt. He is the absolute front-runner in the presidential race." Trump, who judges people purely by whether or not they praise him, promptly shot back: "When people call you brilliant, it's always good, especially when the person heads up Russia." Source: Der Speigel

According to many news sources, obstuction is is Trump's way of doing business. From Newsweek: "Over the course of decades, Donald Trump’s companies have systematically destroyed or hidden thousands of emails, digital records and paper documents demanded in official proceedings, often in defiance of court orders. These tactics—exposed by a Newsweek review of thousands of pages of court filings, judicial orders and affidavits from an array of court cases—have enraged judges, prosecutors, opposing lawyers and the many ordinary citizens entangled in litigation with Trump."

""The EU and China are joining forces to forge ahead on the implementation of the Paris agreement and accelerate the global transition to clean energy," EU Climate Commissioner Miguel Arias Cañete told the Guardian newspaper.
